The musings of fate

He had taken it better than she expected, her dear Julius, she figured if it had been anyone but her that told him all hell would break loose. But maybe that was just her imagining that it would be that way. He was going after the Merc though with a vengeance when it was believe he was not telling him the whole truth. She let out a sigh as she sat at road's end and looked out on the waters. There was still more to tell him about the event, but he had gotten called away by his job again, so it would have to wait.

An Eventful night

It had started out lovely, Vel had made her way out of the little hidey hole that she called home and headed to the Cantina. the night was actually nice tonight, stars glittered in the velvet expanse like tiny jewels, the sight of beauty in this drab monochrome place caused her to stop and look up. Vel mused for a time letting her mind shift to simpler moments, like the night before when Julius had spoke to her so sweetly. The voices had not turned on him, her visions were clear when it concerned him, maybe just maybe she was going to be allowed a companion now.

Curious...

She sat within the warehouse after yet another interesting night, wandering the streets she met with Julius again, such a character he was, perpetually tired, but still always having a moment to speak to her. So rare it was to meet with a member of the officials that were nice to those under them. She had told him of the hybrids, but not until he had told her he trusted them more than he trusted their own kind.

He was shocked that she had taken in strangers to her resting place, he seemed glad she was okay but it was hard to tell with him. Always smiling, always a gentle word, maybe it was just part of his nature or his training. But he seemed impressed that she had helped two wayward hybrids instead of shutting them out like most people did.

New Arrivals

They were a strange pair, the only way that she could describe them as were hybrids. Though she thought that all of them had been created with cybernetics and metal parts. These two had long tails sleek and fluffy, it made her feel like she wanted to reach out and touch those waving appendages and just feel the softness of the fur.

The male had been extremely defensive, and she could see within his gaze a protective nature over the small female that was at his side. It was sweet, she had wondered if they were a couple, and with all the excitement of getting them to talk to her and accept her offer of a place to rest, she had even forgotten to ask their names. How silly of her really, total strangers staying within the place she had found to sleep. At least it was plenty big.

A tainted mind, a need realized

Vel tossed and turned on the thin mat that was her bed, she still did not have a job it seemed her thoughts that she was hired as a medic was not quite true, it seemed everyone was a minor medic that had applied to the hospital. She had to find a job, but that was neither here or there as she tried to sleep.

The visions were coming more frequent now days, images of dark and depraved situations, they were clouding her mind with the wanton emotions that ran through them. It was as if she were two people, one a good girl that wanted nothing more than to be an active part of the new colony, the other a vicious vixen that had only one goal in mind.
