The musings of fate

He had taken it better than she expected, her dear Julius, she figured if it had been anyone but her that told him all hell would break loose. But maybe that was just her imagining that it would be that way. He was going after the Merc though with a vengeance when it was believe he was not telling him the whole truth. She let out a sigh as she sat at road's end and looked out on the waters. There was still more to tell him about the event, but he had gotten called away by his job again, so it would have to wait.

" How do I tell you that Flux provoked it so vehemently, that even in my eyes he deserved it. Or that the woman was a danger to everyone if her temper got out of control again." Her delicate hand slapped down on the asphalt with a loud crack, she had hit it so hard her hand stung. Gingerly holding it to her chest she stood up and wandered along the edge of the Yard.

She let her mind slip again, no she ran, as the voices began to rumble in her head once more. " You don't, you don't tell him you fool. If you do he will cart them both away and we have need of them." Her eyes narrowed and she let out a small scream to the night. Spinning around in a veil of her hair she looked to the sky. So many people took refuge in those stars, maybe she should too. That would mean leaving Julius behind though and she could not do it.

A single tear of frustration glittered on her cheek, she being so lost in thought did not even take the time to wipe it away. but through it all a smile curled her lips ever so lightly it always happened when she thought about Julius. Her one peace; her Zen. Still cradling her hand Vel stood there, if any were looking upon her silhouette they might see an image of a lost voice, a wayward child, a woman in turmoil.they would not however, see her expression; an expression of a woman in love.
