The procedure is complete and the patient has finally stabilized. I would say it is miraculous he is alive, but… his biological make-up is its own wonder.

The male appears to be a young adult male with no readily apparent diseases. Results from the lab indicate his DNA contains a high concentration of Ionian traces, leading one to naturally assume he is such an alien… but he doesn’t look the part. Rather, his physical appearance is a blend of species: though his stature his tall and his skin pale, his form is filled-out with muscles makes him appear more human. His white hair is incredibly uncommon for Ionians, while his incredibly white eyes are unnatural to any common being. I only know of such change in the pupil and irises among the blind, but current tests show his is not visually impaired. Furthermore, there are what appears to be black tear marks upon his face, but no amounting of cleaning would rub it away- it is either a tattoo or strange form of pigmentation of the skin.

The last check of the machines indicate the patient is in a coma; I’ve prepared a mask specific for the subject with a help of an Ionian friend which I brought at night into the hospital. The staff still doesn’t view interaction with extraterrestrials as a positive advancement for our people, and many have developed the common xenophobic feelings towards them. It’s a shame- we could learn much from them.

The fact that the male is still alive and his vitals stabilized with the mask only make me more certain that he is of Ionian origin. I am worried about the fellow once he awakens - if he awakes, that is - because my friend explained to me that he would never be accepted and seen as Ionian… Perhaps, if he regains consciousness, I can learn more from the patient.

The burns from the radiation upon his skin are healing impressively fast, I must note. While it’s already been a month, I’ve never been more positive on his recover than now.

I shall wait…
